Hidden in the stunning Scottish Borders, this cozy bungalow was a true escape from the daily hustle. the surrounding hills and countryside provided a tranquil setting for a weekend getaway. the thoughtful hosts left us a welcome package with local goodies, which was a delightful surprise. the bungalow was spotless and well-maintained, with plenty of space for our group of six and two dogs. Road links were convenient, and we were only a short walk away from a beautiful fishing lake with breathtaking scenery.

One minor downside was the lack of a fence for our dogs, which would have been a nice addition. having only one bathroom for our group of four daughters was a bit challenging, but we managed.

The bathroom with a bath or shower was divine! It felt like stepping into a sanctuary after a long day of exploring. As a business traveler, I appreciated the option to relax in a nice, warm bath or take a quick refreshing shower. Absolutely loved it!

Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the bathroom with just a shower. But hey, that's just me.

Nestled in the picturesque Scottish Borders, this charming bungalow truly feels like a home from home. the breathtaking natural beauty of the rugged hills and serene countryside provides a tranquil backdrop for your stay. the cozy interiors and thoughtfully designed spaces exude warmth and comfort. the fully-equipped kitchen allows for home-cooked meals, and the inviting living areas make relaxation effortless. the hosts' attention to detail and warm hospitality create a sense of belonging.

There is only one toilet, which may be a bit inconvenient for larger groups.

Our family had a fantastic time at the bungalow near Melrose Abbey and Bellingham Golf Club. We enjoyed cycling and fishing in the area, making it a wonderful place to explore. The bungalow itself was cozy and clean, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The owners were friendly and left a thoughtful welcome package for us, including fresh milk in the fridge. it was a fabulous experience in a picturesque location.

My children wanted a fence for our dogs.
